Intentional Faith Development

Intentional Faith Development encompasses all the ministries that help us grow in faith outside of weekly worship, such as small groups Bible studies, Sunday school, mid-week programs, and retreats, where we learn in the community of other Christians.  Spiritual growth does not come easily or automatically. It requires placing ourselves in the community to learn the faith with others.  Jesus calls us to be disciples-to follow Him and continually grow our faith.  And, in the process of following and growing our faith, we are called to intentionally develop the faith of others.  By these intentional practices we are closer to Christ today than we were 5 years ago, and that, by the grace of God, we may be even closer to God five years from now.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable.  Romans 12:2
